Meet the Sea Monkey

Today was our first ultrasound. Here's the little guy's profile. He didn't want to get in the right postion to be measured but we think we finally got a good measurment of about 40mm. Based on his size they changed the due date to June 2. We won't know for 7 more weeks what the sex is so for now it's a sea monkey :)

Since I knew you were posting tonight I get to post the first comment. From very first impression of the baby's profile, I'm speculating that the baby will be a ? I'll let you know if I'm right when you find out the gender. Ultrasound is pretty amazing seeing your baby for the first time. That's a little McGowan in there.

Congratulations! For me that first ultrasound makes it all so much more real. I'm excited for you guys to find out what you're having.

have you thought of any names?

We have first names but not middle names yet. If it's a boy, Michael, a girl, Ayla.

Hey Jill, if your still feeling nauseous, talk to your doc about zofran. It worked wonders for some friends of mine. It didn't work with me, but that might have been because I only took it orally and I get so sick that I probably should have had it intravenously. Most OBs won't prescribe it unless you ask for it directly. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M GETTING IN ON THIS SO LATE!

CONGRATULATIONS- the first ultrasound is so exciting and fun, and even though it looks like a Sea Monkey (whatever that is), it's your FIRST GLIMPSE OF YOUR BABY!!!! YEA!!!! SO SO EXCITING!!!

I wish you lived closer Jill. Florida? You might as well be in another country! I TOLD YOU FLORIDA WAS TOO FAR AWAY!
